Attending CommunicAsia 2011 in Singapore
I went over to CommunicAsia 2011 this week for my annual visit to the trade exhibition. The event is held at the Marine Bay Sands (MBS) this year for the first time, which I must concede is a much better venue than Singapore Expo in terms of its central location and far newer/better facilities – extending all the way to the washrooms. Due to some kind of byzantine arrangement however, BroadcastAsia is held a shuttle bus ride away over at Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre instead of side-by-side. CommunicAsia 2011 ends tomorrow on the 23rd June.
Can’t believe I am saying this, but the food is also much better and priced lower than at Singapore Expo, a point that at least one of the exhibitors agreed with me about. Car park facilities at the MBS itself is pretty limited unfortunately. I managed to park in the normal car park on the first day, which cost just $6 (full day) with the purchase of a concessionary ticket. Carpark was closed when I dropped by to conduct an interview on the second day though, and opting for valet parking set me back by about $15 for 2.5 hours.
Anyway, below are some photos I snipped along the way.
